Family Planning: Carrots and Condoms
by Vicki Rowse, MJP-NHS Senior Nurse Practitioner
16 June 2010

This programme has been developed to link messages about nutrition, farming, food security and family planning specifically to hard to reach families living in isolated rural villages. Working alongside MJP’s agriculture team, our health practitioners deliver special sessions about birth spacing and contraception methods to farmers attending MJP’s farmer training schools. All sessions are held in the villages, thereby taking our health messages directly to the community. Family planning tools/commodities are also distributed to all families who request them.
