01 May 2010
In 2010, MJP launched its first eco-ranger pilot club in O Chrap village. This club involves activities, art projects, and games that will make the children strong, healthy, and active. Children have the chance to learn about four different conservation themes, (wildlife, water, forests and pollution/health) all of which will be taught in fun and creative ways. Some of the projects involve helping out in the community. Learning about the environment is very important the children’s future, both for their health and success. This club also gives children useful life skills.
The club is launch in Sre Reach Primary School. 26 eco-rangers are participating on the afternoon of Monday. O Chrap on Tuesday (full day), 28 eco-rangers in the morning and 31 in the afternoon. These clubs are now also teaching English to attract children's participation.
