SAM EL VOAN
Community Development Manager


Sam El has worked for MJP as the Community Development Manager since MJP was created. He has a strong background in Medical Assistance, Business Administration, Fundamentals of Organization and Administration, General Management, Frontline Leadership and Rural Community Development and Project Management. Sam El has experience in project management and staff supervision and budget management, with various NGOs for number of years.
LOEUR CHOUP, MD
Health Coordinator


Loeur is a former nursing teacher and has experience as a nurse and medical assistant in the pediatric and adult wards of local hospitals. He has worked for the United Nations Development Project (UNDP), United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) and Cambodia Resettlement and Reintegration Programme (CARERE).
NARAP OURM
Education Coordinator


Narap holds a Bachelors degree in Khmer Literature from the Royal University of Phnom Penh. From 1997 to 1998, he attended the Faculty of Pedagogy of Phnom Penh and gained his expertise in Khmer Literature. Narap also completed a Participatory Approach to Human Rights education course and a mental health training course.
Savang Min
SAVANG MIN
Rural Planning Coordinator


Savang gained his Diploma degree in Forestry Science from Prek Leap National School of Agriculture in 2004, and BSC degree in Agricultural Economics and Rural Development at Khemarak University in 2009.

After his graduation in the Forestry Science, he started working as Office Assistant with CDC-DANIDA (Council for the Development of Cambodia-Danish International Development Agency) in the project of Natural Resources and Environment Programme from 2004 to 2005. From February to July 2006, he was working for the The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Technische Zusammenarbeit (GTZ)’s Rural Development Program in Kampot Province as Community Forestry Volunteer and Community Forestry Consultant from July 2006- July 2007. Afterward, he has been working for German Development Service (DED) in cooperation with Provincial Land Management Urban Planning, Construction and Cadastre of Battambang and MJP Foundation as Rural Development Assistant Coordinator until December 2009.
THAEV IN
Agriculture Officer


Thaev joined MJP in 2003 as Community Development Coordinator. Throughout many experiences in the field and a wide range of skills including TOT (Training of Trainers), research appraisal, participatory land use planning, team leadership and general management, and several agricultural on-the-job-training, he became the Agriculture Officer in 2006.
Sitha Sem
SITHA SEM
Micro-credit Coordinator


Sitha joined MJP in 2009 helping to launch the organisation’s micro-credit project. Prior to joining MJP, Sitha worked with the Save the Earth Organization as a Project Manager of Community Based Disaster Risk Management programme based in Northwestern Cambodia.

Sitha also worked with OXFAM QÉBEC/Canada in Food Security and Institutional Building Project in Pursat Province, Cambodia from June 1994 to 2001. This project established three successful Cambodian institutions: 1) HATHA KAKSEKAR in the field of microfinance, 2) The Pursat Resource Center, 3) Farmer’s Cooperative for Agricultural Production and Marketing. From 2001 to 2006, Sitha worked for a village based Micro-Finance Institution, HATTHA KAKSEKAR Limited as the Chief Accountant.

Sitha holds a Bachelors degree major in Accounting in 2004, and Master degree major in Management from the University of Management and Economics of Battambang province, Cambodia in 2006. From 2006 to 2008, Sitha launched a business venture in import and export agriculture product in Pailin province.
